Why We Must Care: Art, Crisis, and Collective Action for Congo, Palestine, and Sudan

In a world overwhelmed by headlines, it’s easy for stories of suffering to become background noise. But today, in Palestine, Congo, and Sudan, millions are living through unimaginable hardship—war, displacement, famine, and systemic injustice. These crises are not distant tragedies; they are urgent calls for global solidarity.

This time-limited art print was created not just as a visual piece, but as a gesture of resistance and care. All proceeds will be donated to three grassroots organizations—Mutual Aid Sudan, Colors of Connection, and BuildPalestine—that are doing brave, community-centered work where it is needed most.

🇵🇸 Palestine

Palestinians are facing a historic catastrophe. In Gaza, entire neighborhoods have been destroyed, with catastrophic civilian casualties and a collapsing health system. In the West Bank and Jerusalem, dispossession and apartheid deepen daily.

While the world watches, BuildPalestine acts. They empower Palestinian social entrepreneurs, artists, and organizers to build futures rooted in justice and self-determination. They don't just respond to crisis—they support resilience, innovation, and local leadership. Your contribution becomes part of a movement that resists erasure and uplifts life-affirming Palestinian vision.

🇨🇩 Congo

Eastern Congo continues to suffer from armed violence, displacement, and trauma rooted in decades of colonial extraction and geopolitical neglect. The scars of war are not only physical—they're emotional, cultural, and generational. In this context, the role of healing becomes revolutionary.

Colors of Connection uses art as a transformative tool for youth and communities living through conflict in Congo and beyond. Their work restores voice, dignity, and connection through community-led murals, workshops, and public art. This is not charity—it’s healing through co-creation, a radical reimagining of what humanitarian aid can look like.

🇸🇩 Sudan

Since war broke out in April 2023 between rival military factions, Sudan has plunged into a deepening humanitarian crisis. Over 8 million people have been displaced, hospitals have been bombed, and famine looms in multiple regions. Yet global coverage has been minimal, and international aid slow or absent.

Mutual Aid Sudan steps in where governments and large NGOs falter. Run by Sudanese organizers and trusted allies, they deliver emergency food, medicine, and shelter directly to communities most affected. Every donation bypasses bureaucracy and supports real people with urgent needs—and with long-term vision for justice, solidarity, and survival.

Why this print? Why now?

Art has always been a tool of protest, remembrance, and hope. This print is a small offering, a way to raise both awareness and tangible support. These three organizations don’t just provide aid—they imagine and build different futures from the ground up.

By purchasing this print, you're doing more than donating—you’re aligning with models of mutual aid, community resilience, and radical compassion. All purchases will be split evenly across the three organisations, with only a small deduction to cover delivery. I will personally not make any money from this print run. If any charity inspires you particularly, you can indicate this when ordering and I will send your full donation to them.

The print is not a commercial product, but my way of thanking you for your contribution. Above all, let’s honor not only the pain of those affected, but also their power.

Support the work. Share their story.
